WCISA 2023 Conference wrap up

The 2023 Western Chapter International Society of Arboriculture conference was a big success, and felt like the first real return to a "normal" conference since the Covid era. Community Forests Council was an exhibitor among the educational booths and we really enjoyed getting to connect with so many of you there! It was held at the breathtaking Resort at Squaw Creek, which was still surrounded in snowpack.

Jared Farmer was the keynote speaker, and spoke on the role of "Elderflora" in our landscapes. Daniel Goyette transitioned his presidency to successor, Kevin Eckert, and we had an incredible lineup of presenters who represented a vast range of topics from the arboricultural universe.

Community Forests Council president Brandon Elrod was runner up in the "Last Arborist Standing" challenge at the end of the conference, and WCISA Spanish Committee--Arboleros.org--member Oscar Sanchez captured his elimination question for posterity!
